What is your availability like for in-studio lessons?
For in-home lessons?

Availability fluctuates based on my current schedule as well as the student’s location. Feel free to reach out and ask about my current schedule. In-person lessons are limited and scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. I typically reserve after school lessons (4-8pm) for students that can come to me. Travel students – students that I meet with in-person at their house – are possible earlier in the day. I offer one Complimentary Lesson for new students. 

What makes your lessons different?

I offer a traditional lesson plan in the beginning, making sure the student understands how to communicate all the essentials. They will learn to understand what they are seeing in front of them, both on the instrument as well as on the page. Additionally, they learn to listen and talk about what they are hearing. These goals are customized to the student. If my go-to way isn’t working, I am not afraid to pivot into alternative books and methods. Whatever gets the individual on the right path and feeling good about progress. Ultimately, I want everyone who comes through my studio to be able to go out into the world, find what music brings them joy, and be able to handle whatever comes their way.

Are there performance opportunities?

YES! And they are FREE. As a Preferred Steinway Educator, I offer one free formal recital opportunity every Spring at the Steinway Gallery of Fort Worth. Our performers get to perform on some of the most amazing instruments in the world. We will sometimes have guest artists! I like to show the students that music exists outside the studio! It is global, social, cultural, and fun!

How much does it cost?

I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons. 30/45/60 minute lessons cost $40/60/80 per lesson, respectively, and is paid on a monthly basis. Traditionally, beginners will meet once a week with me in my home studio for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes per week, in a typical 4-week month, in-studio lessons would be $160 for the month. In-person lessons that require me to travel will include an additional fee for drive time. This fee varies depending on the required travel time.
